On August 27, 2016. The Amazing Annie tree dedication ceremony was moving for all those who knew Annie. In addition to planting a tree on the grounds of Sandburg Middle School where she was a student, local representatives, family and friends came to celebrate the passing of the Annie LeGere Law.
The Annie LeGere Foundation would like to thank Senator Chris Nybo and Representative Michelle Mussman for sponsoring the legislation in the General Assembly. We would also like to recognize local dignitaries who attended including Elmhurst School District 205 Board Member Emily Bastedo, DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin, DuPage County Board Member Pete DiCianni, Elmhurst Mayor Steve Morley, and DuPage County Sheriff John Zaruba. The foundation would also like to thank, Sebert Landscaping, Bartlett, Illinois for the donation of the dedication tree.
